Night Swim

Night Swim, 2010 photographed in St. George, Utah

I’m still trying to piece together the images from this summer as well as the “bleed” images. They are only a start and definitely not what I expected. The summer images from my travels are much more quiet than i expected? Or maybe just more personal?

Tourists

On the North Rim of the Grand Canyon from my trip.

Packing up for the weekend in DC. Hopefully some good reviews, helpful lectures, maybe some dancing? There was a bit of a mix up with dates so I will see the lovely Sara next weekend, but first Quelcy of Caravan Collective will be swinging through town, followed by Michelle Lee. Lovely ladies all in a row!

Speaking of the ladies, here’s a link to a great video of Wendy Williams interviewing Amy Sedaris about her new book, Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People. Click here. It made me laugh. Out loud.

Weekend Reading

Off for a weekend trip and trying to figure out how to pack for this weather. Hasselblad, disposable camera, New Yorker, The Sentimental Education by Flaubert, scarf, and this article written by William¬†Deresiewicz about the loss of solitude in contemporary society. I am a big fan of my alone time so this article was a breath of fresh air. The link is below – well worth the read (and the hypocrisy of posting this to a blog…but eh.)

If it were you out in the sun…

Always driving into the sun; as if it would tell me something.
