Blast from the Past…Westmoreland Museum of American Art

So sometimes you miss things…such as reviews in newspapers…hurray for the internet and the ability to get these things later on. I’ve included the image, Hitchhike, from The Parkhurst Slides.

Kurt Shaw reviewed the Westmoreland Museum of American Art’s Biennial (June 2010) in the Pittsburgh Tribune Review and I got a nice little line:

Though excellent oil paintings like these abound, there are a variety of more cutting-edge mediums represented. Still keeping with the theme of nature, Pittsburgh’s Magali Duzant shows a digital image of a hitchhiker in a looming landscape. Titled “Hitchhike,” the archival inkjet print is every bit as lush as an oil painting, even though it is a photographic collage.

Good news! My image Hitchhike from The Parkhurst Slides will be on view from June 6th through July 4th at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art as part of the museum’s Biennial.
