New workings…

I’m trying out some new images with the slide pieces. I’m becoming more and more interested in the process of collecting and organizing; assigning subjects and topics; creating groupings etc. I’m also intrigued by multiple uses for the images – projections as I have been making, collages, maybe video?

Meanwhile…in Berkeley….

I saw an older white man wearing a pink turban and long white beard tooling around in his Chevy Impala convertible last weekend while on the way to work in Berkeley. That’s right Berkeley, I have you figured.

Willie J. Don and the return of real posting

I’ve been a bit quiet on here recently and I apologize. I was very much on a good, daily schedule here but  the past few weeks have been a bit hectic or rather just a change in schedule….but never fear. The daily schedule is back and to kick it off a cross post with Notes on a Coast of the above collage. Look out tomorrow for a little preview/explanation of an upcoming feature on the blog.

Recital

Recital, 2011 © Magali Duzant

Sally’s first performance…a collage I made in my sketchbook after reading this little study result:

Kids Can Use An iPhone, But Can’t Tie Shoes.

(I think the title of the link is better than the results, working with what I got)

Big Poppa

A postcard I made for Michelle Lee and another for Andrew Hoffman. The NY Times book review is a great resource for clipping.

It’s a postcard, it’s a history lesson!

A random postcard I made and sent to the lovely Sara Blumenstein. Found an old National Geographic and cut it up – what can I say it was that or watching something on netflix and I needed time away from the screen (Inspector Lewis most likely – BBC/Masterpiece Mystery for all the dorks out there – it’s how I roll).

Listening to a lot of Jens Lekman these days. Like this one: I’m Leaving You and Kansk Ar Jag Kar I Dig
